That grill would look sweet with some of those 38" wheels with spinners. That and lots of gold plated trim and hydrolics.

Kind of reminds me of the new Lonestar.

I had a set of those headlights. Key word is had. They are garbage and don't light up the road very well. High beam worked well though. I even added driving lights just to see at night. I eventually sold them after 2 months. it may be that they work better with HID light bulbs but never tried. I recently installed an HID bulb in my motorcycle and may do the same for my truck at some point in the future.

I'm going to threadjack for just a second here. If anyone is interested in brighter lights, don't buy "HID" light bulbs. If they're real HID, the arc is in the wrong place and you will blind oncoming traffic. If they're cheap, they just have blue paint on a normal bulb.

For the composite light guys, if you really want better lighting, look into HIR bulbs by Phillips. 9011 to replace 9005, 9012 to replace 9006. Unbelieveable light output.

Watch it when you buy your lights..... 9 times outta 10 with after market housings is that they will leak and fill with water in a heavy rain and at the car wash........ I have a set of the black housings in that picture on ebay along with the black corner lights. If your interested, shoot me a pm. Im also running those exact headlight housings with HIDs and have no complaints other than the mounts are a little flimsy and it took then a few tries to get me a set with the black glue instead of gray glue on the black housings.

Jeff I replaced the grille & lights on the Tahoe back when I bought it. Grill I got off ebay & the headlights & turns came from rock all look OEM. Someone recently asked me for the part #'s but I could not find them, the grill was available from rock also but they wanted a small fortune for shipping

dixiepc,
Sorry if you thought that my comment was aimed at you. It wasn't. I was trying to slightly sarcastically say that I should keep my mouth shut because that grill is FUGLY!!!

This what our Suburban used to look like.

Does anybody have any recomendations for a decent looking replacement grill and spacer behind the bumper?

I for one don't really like the GMC grill. I've though about going to the bone yard and getting a Chevy grill and reworking it so the GMC is in place of the bowtie. Then I had seen one in down town Portland with the front clip removed and a Escalade clip in it's place. When I get out of school and get to working that is what I plan on doing. Get that Escalade front clip and repaint the whole pick up with the new front clip.

I've always thought the GMC grill looked kind of like it belonged on a work truck.

I want to go an aftermarket route.
