help!

Truck just started acting up. Pulled up to a stopsign and truck started almost loping. Had my foot on the brake and. It was surging so hard it was pulling me through my brakes. Even at an idle it would surge up thru the rpms. Immediately at the stoplight the ses light came on. I would take off from a stopsign and it would act like it was sputtering and missing and then be just fine going down the road until I went to closer to an idle. What could this be ?
anyone had a problem like this?

I just let the truck sit for now. Little bit freaked out. As of right now. But its all part of the adventure of the 6.5

Also to not. The truck was running normal temperature and oil pressure

Any unusual smoke while it acted up?

PMD or IP would be my guess, also check the PMD harness ground for clean and tight.

Yes, IP is on the front of the motor in the "Valley Of Death."
These should help.

You'll need to remove the upper intake to get at it.

Get a replacement kit w/heat sink and extention cable to get that sucker out of the engine bay.

Here are a couple of examples of kits available

DSC01326.jpg Heath's kit. Pricey but worth it IMHO

Yes you will see the fuel shout off solenoid that looks like a stack of 50 cent pieces with 2 wires coming out just like in the picture linked above.
