Cardone is a rebadged DTech/Flight System which have a batch that does the surging issue.

Is it something to be awfully worried about as far as this surging issue will it get worse or cause a stalling problem ? I initially changed it becuase of stalling

There have been a couple stories of "runaways" where the vehicle will not stop with this particular pmd problem.

I know of one instance from a reliable source where the vehicle started accelerating at highway speed and the only way he could stop it was to shut the truck off and coast to the side.

If you're only surging (ie:rpm fluctuations) it's probably not the same failure mode or it could be the start of it. If the truck is experiencing "unintended acceleration" I'd start thinking about a replacement before it leaves you stranded but the side of the road...

I would be more concerned about being stopped at a crosswalk and having it lurch forward when some kids are trying to get home from school-not a ride to the hospital or the morgue.

Get it changed!
Is my humble opinion.
