6.5 In kentucky

I'm trying to get a 6.5 chev diesel running it has a brand new fuel pump and crank sensor on the truck it's getting fuel to the pump but not getting to the injectors. It's throwing a 57 code for a 5 volt refrence wire grounded or shorted or something.

When you say fuel pump do you mean lift pump or injection pump? Big difference, but based on the sound of fuel not getting to the injectors I believe you mean LP. Check all ground first for frayed wires ect...if still no go try putting fuel directly to the
IP, if fuel isnt coming to the injectors while doing that then your IP is probably bad.

It's a 94 chev 3500hd
Two wheel drive.
Turbo 6.5 diesel
Getting Fuel from the LP but none through the IP
Checked all fuses.
I haven't personally replaced the crank sensor but it's brand new.
Personally checked all fuses and replaced IP and driver mod.
Not getting any fuel out of the IP at all.
Have a 57 dtc showing in the system for a 5 volt referance wire short or grounded.
Can't locate any wiring diagrams I need or any resiastance charts showing what resiastance the mod. should be or crank sensor.

Did you just replace the IP when this happened? Or have you been able to run it after the IP change?

Well I've gotten it fixed now the pcm was shot. It had no 5v feed at all from the pcm it was a solid ground threw the pcm. I'm in Powell county kentucky.
I've have a fuel leak now on the return line, it'll spray fuel out the pump now but you have to cover the return on the top of the pump.
Something tell's me this isn't right. It will not spray fuel if out the pump if it's not covered up.

What's the psi of the incoming fuel from the LP on this model if anyone knows?

Other than that I have to finish putting the intake on and bleed the injectors to see if it'll run.

The FD got this truck by trading around it came to me with the IP not working a brand new crank sensor on it and a used driver.
No it wouldn't run after the IP was changed. I got to checking the crank sensor and had strong ground on two of three wires. The hardest thing i've seem to find on this engine was the wiring diagrams in case anyone else is ever working on one.
