if my truck starts and runs fine for a while then starts acting like an injector is failing, could it be a faulty pmd. I have installed brand new injectors and turbo. 99 gmc suburban 6.5 turbo.

Welcome to the Forum!

What are the symptoms? Is your PMD still mounted on the IP?

First thing to check is for DTC codes, whether or not the Service Engine Soon light is on or not.

Been thought of. Some have. Remember, in some parts of the country, on a hot summer day w/ the windows closed, it can be hot enough to toast bread inside (or cook cookies). On a 95F day outside, a closed cab will get hotter.

The idea is temperature "stability". The less expose to extreme variation is the key. In an engine, it gets from the temp of 150F to ambient air at night. Any material will expand and contract (even if put in solid potting material) and that takes it's tole on things.

Heath, some have said, and have used the PMD relocation system he sells, had a 5-7 year warranty. He mounted it outside the engine on the skid plate. So if someone is willing to warranty it....and some here have spoke to the length their PMD has lasted.

The general rule/accepted is get it OUT of the engine bay. Be it in the bumper or grill.
