Egr delete 1982 6.2L?

Hey all i had a few questions about doing the egr delete. I read that you can just take the thing out of the intake and cap it off but what about the rest of the components like the two little solenoid things the hose runs to can i pull those off or just leave them? And as for the exhaust manifold would i need to do anything to it? Thanks

Yup EGR is death to a diesel .... DELETE IT !!

Yes, either plug the line to the valve or put a plate under it or pull it and plug the hole with a engine frost plug.

Just unplug the solenoids or remove em ... your choice. The EPR valve in the exhaust manifold can be left alone but I do wire them open.

Just remember if you do remove the EGR valve and line, plug the hole in the air filter base ...

If you're around Seattle I got a J code intake.

Make sure to wire OPEN the EGR flapper. They can rust closed and cause problems.
