Help selecting IP for 1991 K5 Blazer 6.2

I just bought a 1991 K5 Blazer with the 6.2.
The IP is old and worn out (typical won't start when hot until you pour water on it to cool it off).

I need to buy a new IP, and see several new (not rebuilt) units on ebay for $500-$650ish.

I can cross reference which pumps were used in what year/model trucks, but I was wondering if anyone had a suggestion as to which might be the best pump.

Info: Blazer will remain basically stock with the exception of putting on a J intake at some time in the future.

Truck will be used from 4,000 feet (home) to 8,000 feet.

Please make your suggestions from the following IPs:
DB2829-4521
DB2829-4723
DB2829-4544

Thanks for your input.

Thanks Deejaaa.

I already have that info from the stickies....

I am looking for a suggestion from the pumps I listed as to which might be the best of the three and possibly why.

The list you provided only tells what pump came in what truck, not any real specs to compare them.

Thanks again.

I am not the expert here but I suspect it will make no noticeable difference.

There is no real difference between db2829 pumps, db2831 pumps will give a little more fuel in an NA situation, and are able to be tuned for turbo better then a 29 pump.

4723 probably the closest to your year model truck and it's HD.. Not all pumps are the same, contrary to what you read here and elsewhere. You have different delivery valves, light load advance, total advance, fuel output, max rpm's, 12 & 24 volt, and other not so noticeable differences. I know for a fact the 6.2 and 6.5 engines run differently with the wrong pump. The delivery valve & spring set up in each IP is designed for a certain injector type and high pressure line ID setup. You get the wrong one and the engine will suffer in engine Idle quality and general performance.
At high altitude your NA engine is going to suffer a bit.
Personally I like the 4544 IP. It has the highest rpm potential and advance and fueling. It's just not the right one for your truck. The 4521 might very well be 24 volt so it's out as well.

DieselPro.
Thanks for the info. As for the 4521 being 24 volt, that isn't an issue as I could just swap over the 12v parts from the old one (I had to do that with the 5149 on my '84).

As voltage is't an issue, which would you recommend as far as performance or overall function?

Oh, and I am VERY aware of how a NA suffers from the altitude... My 1990 F350 7.3 NA gets passed by .... well everything going up hills when I'm in the mountains. I downshift and take my time and I'll eventually get there.
The Blazer shouldn't be as bad, but I know it's limitations.

Why wouldn't you recommend the 4544? If it has greater advance, that could come in as useful. I didn't mention it, but I will be running a WVO mix which likes a bit of advance.
