small update, been super busy modding buggies, and dealing with the problems associated with it( lincoln mig is dying....) but have had a bit of time to do some after hours gauge mounting, went with old school stewart warners, bought a bunch from the scrap a year or so ago( they remove them by just cutting everything, including the mechanical sensor probes...) got done cleaning them up, the dash has a 0-10 psi fuel pressure gauge, and an electric engine oil temp gauge, while the pod has a 0-15 psi boost gauge, a pyro( bought a lot of 3 new old stock SW pyros without thermo-couples for 4.00 each...) and a 0-325 tranny oil temp.... the tranny temp gauge is the one that had the cut capillary tube, did some searching, and found a guy who fixed his tube by buying another gauge, cutting the tube off, and soldering it in before all the ether leaked out, tried this and i got it working again..... i will post the DIY link for the repair after this post...
here are some pics...

yeah i would entertain a hobart before a esab, but since peavy mart is not in quebec, i am leaning towards the esab, we dont have any credit with the hobart dealers here either, where-as if worst comes to worst it can be charged at the machine shop.... i dont think i would go with another lincoln, or a miller, tried both and didnt like either, the lincoln have a crapper plastic filled wire feeder that i dont like...

Hmm, I've always had good luck with the Millers. We had 6 Millermatic 135's in high school and only lost two to abuse. The rest are still there plugging along. At the college we have Lincolns, very expensive Lincolns. So far they're doing OK. But they're not cheapies!

I like Miller as well, I think Miller owns Hobart. My Hobart had a Miller gun on it.
