I'd never pay that much for a truck unless it was going to be my daily driver,
and like Roadhog says you get up in that price might as well be looking for a Duramax preferably a LLY

I did leave a deposit on 1999 K2500 today it's a gasser though.
130k body and frame is in great shape, has a EZ Dumper in the back.
Has a misfire that I think might be an injector problem. Paying $2k for it, picking up tomorrow, have to trailer it, has a rotted out brake line in the rear. $200 to get it hauled to my house about 1.5 hours away.

Looks good Bob. I hope your dead cylinder is an easy fix. That dump feature should come in handy. Is it operated by an electric motor, pushing hydraulics, or is it off a PTO?

roadhog0 12-30-2018 02:14 PM

I like it! I love me a GMT400. TBI or Vortec? Lord though, that's a pricey truck for a rotted brake line. I feel for you east coast guys and your rust. We don't get that out here so our pricing is cheap because trucks are plentiful.

Let us know what's up with the misfire. It could be like my S10 and have a broken vacuum line. I like easy stuff!

That truck at 2K, is as average as the rotted rear brake line, Nate. Older serviceable trucks, (around here), W/O much work, at 2 grand has been around for about 20 years. 25 years ago I got my C-30 6.2 dually for a grand, and it was only 9 yrs old, which meant it didn't need the nit picky chicken SH!T DMV inspection. I wuz ecstatic to get a stick shift dually truck for that price. It did need a few thing tho.

Yea trucks no matter what condition bring a premium here in the northeast.
I can't touch a Dmax.

Anyhow I sold the Cummins, just wasn't feeling the Dodge part of it.
So now I have a bunch of cash burning in my pocket.

And what do we have here....
A crew cab 2wd 6.2 Hmmmm.
I knew I should have stayed off Craigslist. Trucks are like crack to me, at least it's legal :p:

Vortec,

I just ordered wires, cap and rotor.
Already put new plugs in it, helped a bit but still has a slight miss.
Buddy had one of these vortecs a while back put 350k+ on it and sold it,(he got a LLY damx) still ran great.

It's electric. It's all wired in and bolted to the bed.
I am gonna have to switch it around, I want to take it out when I am not using it. Extra 700-800 lbs I don't on there all the time.
