Hit up the local wrecking yard yesterday and got a good haul! Found an S10 blazer fresh in that had two out of the three aluminum skid plates so I nabbed those and a leather wrapped wheel which was nice underneath! I also found one of the rare diesel tach clusters for our trucks, AND the sensor pickup for it! So now to put it on the list of many projects to come lol!

Also, just bought a medium duty wiring diagram so I can figure out how in the hell this tach actually works, make is so that I don't blow it up...

As much as I love to collect "treasures", I currently live in an apartment and have limited storage space of my own. I could always dump it at my parents' or in-laws' place though.

Store it at my place. I got a big yard

better make a thread on it working. I talked to someone who made it work with the Dakota box and an alt. tap. The one thing I never figured out was the switch on the back, what it was changing.

The entire forum (the 6.2 section anyway) wants you to figure this out. Rich put in a valiant effort...no diagrams, nothing....he got close...and then it fried. we need someone to do it and document it so that others can learn...Not me, but there are folks...there are certainly folks who want this info
