always been infected :p:

I will run this engine into the ground and then hope one of my spares is good enough to run (or combine them if needed). but with the driving i do, it will be a long time before those wear out. I get caught up with ambitious plans and then lose energy, took me how long to put on a gm3 turbo? lol

Ill admit... I think the next motor my truck gets (as long as I'm out of school) will be a Dirtymax :P

So far everyone I have bought 6.2's or 6.2 parts from (4 diffrent people in 3 diffrent states) was swapping in a 12 valves. I wanted a 4bt or old 2 stoke but could not swing it money wise. It is defiantly saying something tho that they all were doing cummins swaps.

main reason for the cummins swap is they are plentiful, lots of parts availability, proven reliability, very simple to setup and the aftermarket is well versed in cummins swaps.

It's a bit like the SBC and BBC that are still being used isn't it:rolleyes:

or maybe its that they have no clue on how to properly set-up the 6.2l to make decent reliable power...... i bet in three months if a guy called those people back, 2 of the 3 have already sold the cummins swap half finished and bought a newer duramax or cummins..):h...
