I need to find a car trailer. Something big enough to fit a fullsize truck on, but low enough that pushing a car on to it wont kill me and a couple of friends.. Anybody? hahaha

Just get a trailer with a winch, or throw a winch on your trailer.

just make sure the winch is over rated for what you plan to do. my uncle's trailer can pull just about anything up onto it while my brother in laws 8000k winch couldnt pull up a 92 suburban with no engine. it kind of defeats the purpose of having a winch when you still have to push the truck to help it along :)

I'd kill for that, so make sure i don't know where you live. :hehe:

That's an HX40W according to the picture of the box.

Hell of a good score.

I want an HX40WII for my pickup, but i'll have to settle for a chinese knock off, as there's no way in hell i can afford a genuine holset brand new. WAY too much money.

Sounds like it.

So when are you selling it to me again? :hehe:

After all it's only money right? http://i288.photobucket.com/albums/l...leys/Money.gif

Landmine 06-28-2012 06:26 PM

You should look at BAE turbo systems . com. I think they are a decent site, and even have a super 40 listed for 695.
Worth a phone call to see if they are using holset parts.

And todays find, a centermount 6.5 says it has a rap.
http://nh.craigslist.org/pts/3059824967.html

And if anyone want a CUCV, there are several in the Boston craigslist, i had to stop looking at them otherwise i will buy another!

Info from the link in his ad

1972 (68 nose) Chevrolet Rollback tow truck. Needs "tlc"
all hydraulics work as they should
built very tough and heavy duty
1600lb PTO Winch
Manual 4-speed trans.
Runs and drives but Engine (305 c.i.) has very low oil pressure.
put in your fresh smallblock chevy or even a Big Block would be nice.
Or even a 6.2!!!!! I added that part :D

Trouble is it's overweight before you put a car on it.

smackzed 07-18-2012 11:15 PM

ahhh should have said 72 or earlier. I was actually going to guess at 68 or 69.

Upon further research I found this is the A/C compressor I need to get my truck blowing cold air during these 100 degree atlanta days. Picked it up this afternoon. Already got new lines installed so I'm hoping by the weekend I will be riding cooler than 2/60 air.

I listed high, I'll go lower. But thats in the ball park for what these trucks go for in my area, anywhere from $1500 to $3500. I saw one worse then mine go for $4000. Surprised the hell outta me. lol

Send her to the store for some milk, run over and grab the motor,
must be some place you can hide it.... maybe make it a coffee table for now.
Gotta get creative when dealing with the opposite sex.

My wife read this then said that it wouldnt cut it, I would have to send her on a day trip to the spa. that way she would be all relaxed and not care that I went ahead and bought it :D

Sometimes it just takes a little more investment, to have the good things in life.....

Pricey indeed, but he does seem to have 90% of the parts to finish it all up to make it even nicer. That's a VERY nice looking truck though, pretty much what I would want to do with a crew cab (turbo motor, 4L80E).

That's a standard gas tach cluster. This is the one you want.
