As far as the M1009, if top speed is 55 F that.

Where's Kenny ? He just brought one of these.

needle burying and engine swapping...... hmmmm...

i think probably the injection pumps are governed lower than civilian, around 32-3400rpm, so they had some longevity with the "drive it like you stole it" policy....
Well engine swapping was due to
1st blown oil cooler line
2nd air...somewhere and basic rustiness of the vehicle
3rd cracked piston which when I bought the truck the sound made me think of small block with a mild cam. I'm sure burying the needle didn't help, but in reality it was another blown oil cooler line that did her in

That technical bulletin about CUCVs said that redline was 3600rpm under load (4200 no load) so still with 4.56 gears, 32" tires and 1:1 you could still get up to 70mph...and have a little left

I just did an RPM calculator and @ 55mph with 3.08s (the blazer CUCVs had 3.08's correct) and I assumed a 31" tire RPM would be more like 1900, so in theory you should be able to bury the needle in one of those Blazers.

If the gearing had been changed all the way up to 4.56 and kept the 31" tires it would still have 1000 rpm more before it hit governed max, so i don't quite know what that guy is talking about

Maybe his has this max speed stencil on the dash

what, like a 20lbs propane tank with the valve pointed straight into compressor cover?, could use compressed air too i guess... a6psi shot just to getter spinning.... those industrial styled garretts are funny creatures, smallish compressor wheels and huge turbines...
