My bad. I read hos post as meaning they were gonna try & crush the older ones now.

Wouldn't surprise me if any stupid government agency tried making something retroactive for a quarter century, lol!

In all fairness the guy did put a turbo, 4L80E transmission, AC system, and stereo in it. So it's not that bare bones anymore. I think $16k is probably what he has into it if he paid someone else to do the work, you could probably do it yourself considerably cheaper.

margot, Same old story tho. Doesn't matter HOW much cash you throw at some vehicles, it's still only worth a certain amount.

While that is true, a buyer who wants comforts is more likely to spend a bit extra for them already installed and working rather than buying a shell with "promise." I wouldn't say it validates his asking price of $16k, but it sure makes it worth more than the dozens of others of that truck we see fresh off the military lots with nothing done to them at all for $4-6k...

I wouldn've painted it a civilian colour to make it more appealing to the masses then, lol!

Looks like a standard breather than people plug into their gas engines... If that's what it really is it shows the guy doesn't know diesel engines too well.
