How To Drain Your Fuel Tanks By MtJasper

Mt made a new video today on how to drain your fuel tanks using the factory drain valves(didnt know they exsisted). I talked to him and he said yea post the video so i will. also, after watching the video, tell me, do you have the same drainvalves in that location? because i dont, i just have a hole in the frame for one. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AL7t4...N0&feature=sub

Did his 83 still have the WIF sensor in the tank and the spin on fuel filter system? I think those go hand in hand. Since the box style filter has the water drain at the filter housing, GM probably figured they could remove the drain on the tank. Sure was convenient and not just for water draining either. Nice way to drain old nasty fuel out of a truck that sat for a while.

i was thinking the same. when the rectangular filter came in the drain valves went. but yea, id love to have one, id never use it but to have one would definetly prevent ever having to use it lol.
