What kind, or wich length stud would be the best?
The bulk of the price for DSG's kit is the studs.

As far as I know, there isn't any other commercially available girdles, just yet, but I have a feeling there will be sometime soon.

I can tell you exactly how far apart the holes are, either tonight or tomorrow night I'll post back.

The best length stud would be one that has the maximum amount of threads engaged, while leaving 2-3 threads protruding from the nut when it is torqued down. ARP 2000 grade studs would be great, but they have many different grades. You can give ARP a call and they can find a proper fastener for you. They are very helpful on the phone.

Installing a girdle of ANY kind without an align hone is not a good idea.

Ok If a girdle isnt the greatest idea then were would I Find a single stud, washer, and Nut? Because then all the stress would be taken off the crack?

Do I a special stud?

ARP can get you single studs, nuts, and washers. They just need some measurements sometimes.

Outside main bearing cap bolt; M12-1.5mm X 68mm.

Therefore add for nut and washer of the stud..... M12-1.5mm X 85mm.

We just fired up our ''Pugg'' motor today, seems to run real good with girdle....lol.
