New LBZ owner

Hey everyone just bought a 06 with 110k miles on it. Been a member here for a long time as I had a LB7 for about 12 or so years. Sold the LB7 and just putted around in my 97 12 valve for a while. I already have my pump rub kit ordered and plan on installing it this weekend. I just wanted to know if thereís any other quarks with these trucks to take note of? Iíve read plenty about the EGR and PCV reroute. This truck is going to be kept bone stock as all Iím concerned about anymore is longevity and some occasional towing thrown in. I might put an exhaust on it down the road. I checked the truck over good. Both front wheel bearings look to have been replaced recently, the trans cooler lines are GM replacement too so they should hopefully hold up a little while longer. The front end is in pretty good shape but the pitman arm might need some help before long. Also the hydroboost has a small leak but I plan on upgrading to a LML unit if thatís the route to go? Rockers and cab corners are in great shape. Brake lines to the rear are in ok shape, but the ones to the front are a little worse. Found out last night the truck needs a dimmer switch when all the dash lights started acting up. What do you guys do about rust prevention with these things? Iím from Ohio and my LB7 lost the rockers and cab corners like they all do. Anything else you guys want to recommend, throw it out there. If I read things right, the EGR delete kit is the way to go with the different up pipes etc but the blocker plates have come a long ways? Letís hear some opinions. Thanks

The rear brake line tends to rust where it runs along the frame rail above/behind the fuel tank...

Some people spray the underside of their truck with used oil periodically to slow down rust.

I would suggest flushing both the brake system and the PS system with new fluid, and checking how clean the radiators are up front.

Thanks davester, when I throw it on the rack again to do the pump rub I’ll look into that. I planned on changing on the filters and fluids as well.
