Wait to start light and check engine light stays on

When I start my truck up cold, the wait to start light will not go out so I have to start with the light on. Once it is running the light goes out but the check engine light stays comes on. The truck runs fine. I recently had the EGR replaced under warranty if that helps. Any ideas?

Yeah, I'd say a plug issue. Time to scan the truck to see what codes are present

Thanks all. I am going to go by Auto Zone tomorrow and have them scan it. Having an idea of what to look for before going there is reassuring.
