ebay price looks kind of high especially when shipping is added in.

There are certain electrical concerns that may induce the glow plug to go open. If the glow plug system senses a certain electrical "noise" on the power feed, it could induce glow plug concerns. This electrical "noise" may be induced by jump starting, loose connections, disconnecting the batteries with the ignition in the ON position, or a battery charger being used during a module reprogramming event.
I've got a glow plug issue right now, and I'm not sure whether it's related to this thread, or to the electrical "noise" issue discussed above, or something else entirely. Your collective expertise will be much appreciated.

I'm intermittently getting the SES light on at engine startup. Each time it throws the same codes: P0671-P0678 (all 8 of them). As I read through this thread, the post about electrical "noise" caught my eye. Now, I assume that doesn't always mean audible "noise," but I have an issue -- also intermittent, but more frequent -- with a high frequency buzzing coming from my speakers. It's mostly when the radio is playing but will sometimes also accompany a chime (like if the door is ajar or a seatbelt is not fastened). More recently, I've started getting a situation where my dash lights all kind of freak out for a bit.

Could these issues all be related? Any suggestions?

2007 GMC LBZ

Thanks,

Your about 5 years late to this party haha. With electrical and dash lights being weird, I would first check your battery terminals to make sure there's good clean connections, then load test your batteries and or replace them. Checking all grounds possibly as well. IIRC there's been several others with gauges and dash stuff freaking out due to a junk battery or 2.

-- Yeah, I try to see what's already been posted before starting a new thread. Thanks for the suggestion. I'll do that. My current batteries are just over a year old, but it can't hurt to test them and see. I'll check the connections too.
