Reference Material

Does anyone know of a good source for reference material specific to the LBZ duramax?

It doesn't have to be free, I don't mind paying for a good manual. I am interested in a wiring diagram for the engine harness, ECU pinout, or any other detailed information about the engine.

The Helms manuals in the back of your owner's manual will give you the skinny.

I don't have an owners manual. I will be running an engine in a test cell coupled to an engine dynamometer. Therefore, I need the sources for as much technical info as possible. Wiring diagrams would be a big help.

I noticed that they have not released the '07 (Classic) Manuals yet. Just curious if I should wait until they come out or just purchase the '06. I am not sure what is really different between an '06 and an '07 Classic.

Thoughts?

The 07 Classic has the particulate filters and what ever else they put on it for emmisons. I had to wait untill July for my manuals to come out but it was well worth it. Helm just sent me a notice that they have the manual for the Allison tranny out now, $50.00 ordering it this morning.

'07 Silverado classics do not have the particulate filters.

I think you probably want that GM Tech Site that Ben talked about a while back. It is a subscription service but for a short time its not too expensive and you can download what your looking for and read later. I will see if I can find a reference to it, I know I book marked it but my diesel folder has gotten big.

I found it: https://www.acdelcotds.com/acdelco/action/home

I think you will find all the technical information there you want.
