Fleece Trans Cooler Lines - Install & review

Review:
1) There is no real installation guidance whatsoever. "Tools required = 1" wrench". Really just a 1" wrench? No mention of the 1 & 1/4" needed to remove the old lines?
2) While the hose itself was really beefy, I thought the metal on the fittings themselves seemed really soft and easily stripped threads trying to get fittings on
3) The longest line wasn't long enough. I felt another 1" would have made for a much less 'tight' installation.


I didn't take the best notes, but I thought I would put something together to help others since I couldn't find much. I was working on a mostly stock '06 LBZ.

Install:
Tools: 1" wrench, 1 & 1/4" wrench, and standard sockets etc

Remove:
1) Trim piece above grill
2) Front grill
3) Splash guard under engine near the front
4) Intake airbox
5) Horizontal plate under airbox (5x 10mm bolts)
6) Vertical plate under horizontal plate
---Remove rear 10mm bolt common with radiator overflow bottle
---Front two 10mm bolts only need to be loosed (keyhole)
7) Remove intercooler hose (2 clips)
--- Little tight, I had to pull off the bottom first before the top would come loose.
8) Cut all 3 old lines
---Maybe 1qt total drained
9) Remove lines from trans, remove 1 clamp by engine, pull out rear
10) Remove lines from cooler, pull out front

CAUTION: DO NOT REMOVE BOTH RADIATOR FITTING AT THE SAME TIME. KEEP AT LEAST ONE FITTING IN AT ALL TIMES. COOLANT WILL DRAIN OUT.

I'm a moron. The instructions say this, but it wasn't emphasized and the consequences weren't explained.

10) Remove upper radiator line, pull out from top
11) Install new fitting/adapter in radiator (mine used flat washer)
12) Remove lower radiator line, pull out from top
13) Install new fitting/adapter in 5 places
14) Feed long line in from the front cooler and route back to the trans
--- Hookup front first
--- The line felt a little short, I didn't have to pull hard, but I had to pull a little (yes I took the shortest path possible)
15) Feed medium line in from above radiator down to oil pan
---Install radiator fitting (I thought the 45deg pointing sideways towards the engine worked best, not up or down at all)
---Route along 1st installed line
---Connect to trans
---Zip tie to the 1st installed line
---Zip tie to Radiator overflow bottle hose
16) Feed smallest line in from above radiator down the side of the radiator
--- Connect to upper radiator
--- Route above stabilizer and through to cooler
--- Connect to cooler
17) Top off your trans fluid for the ~1qt lost

Let me know if you have any questions... hopefully this helps somebody.
