2011 Allison p0708+p0700 code

I have only had this truck for a week. This week end while backing up in a parking lot the truck clunked very bad while backing up. Thought rear end gave out. Check engine light came on and the Park Assist on/off was flashing. Put into drive and reverse several times and clunking was horrible. Drove truck home and noticed it was stuck in 1st or second gear. The display that shows the gear you are in wouldn't show what gear you were in . Got home and plugged in my $75 dollar code reader in . It showed two codes. P0700 and P0708. Looked on dieselplace.com and most guys said it was the TCM. Drove it down to the dealer and they diagnosed the same thing. $1000.00 later and they put in a new one. Claimed they had to reflash it as well. Problem fixed.
I hope this helps someone diagnose there issues as well. Not sure if a guy can reflash this himself or dealer only.
Thanks
Great web site.

Just wanted to do my part. Often times you read through 4 pages and they never tell you how it was resolved. This was the fix, so I hope it helps someone. Let me tell you, I was freaking out. Thought I bought a dud and the rear end was gone.
