Hi, I'm new here. This was the post that google led me to when I typed in my phrase of gear indicator light not working. Excellent post and I did change out my NSBU switch today in less than 1 beer. :-) However, my gear indicator light is still not working. Everything else is fine as it has been. Any suggestions? Will I have to get into the dash?

Thanks, Tammy

Thank you all for all the insight on replacing the NSBU switch. I am currently in the parking lot of advance auto and my new switch didn't come with the handy aligning tool. I replaced the new switch and it still would not engage into gear so I pulled the new one off and noticed that the old one and new one are in different positions. My question is how do I properly get the new switch in the same position as the old? Do I turn it clockwise or the opposite? I don't want to mess up the $75 part lol any help would be greatly apriciated!

Take your advance auto one back and buy an OEM one.
