Just my opinion but once truck styling got past the rounded look of the 1950's and into the more boxy style that continues to today - a stepside just doesn't work for me. No matter how they tweak the rear fender style it looks like an old bed tacked onto a new cab.

Actually I think someone just slapped an older bed on that ride. Sure doesn't look factory at second glance.

I like stepsides….always have.

This ones odd looking because the bottom of the box doesn't line up with the cab properly.

Looks more like early 80s bed and the step is a bit long for a short bed. I had a 83 the same color and that one has the same tail lights and tailgate latch... hmmm
