Adding mechanical fuel pressure gauge to FASS Pump

Hey all,

2001 GMC 3500 SLE. I want to add a mechanical fuel pressure gauge to my FASS pump by screwing the gauge directly in to the 1/8" npt port at the pump. I already have a gauge sending unit plugged in at the factory fuel filter delete under the hood and I suspect it's reading low because right after I installed the filter delete (DFD-4000) I started getting a P0089 code about once per week. I suspect the FASS pressure might be a bit high. Has anyone done this or are you using an electronic sender to a gauge in the Cab? Thanks in Advance!
