Trans dipstick tube and downpipe issue

Just installed a 3” MBRP downpipe on the LBZ and I can’t seem to get the dipstick brackets to reach the studs with the new downpipe installed. Anyone have a good fix for this? I thought about just bending the tube a little but I figured I would ask if there is a better way first. Thanks

Fun install, huh? Anyways, IIRC, bending the dipstick tube was the fix to make it work. There should be a few threads on here about it somewhere...

Yeah it was a blast haha! I cracked my up pipe after making it about a year with a block off plate on my EGR flange so I figured do the up pipe at the same time. I wish it was easy to pull the cab on these, I feel it would have been easier. Oh well got it done anyway. I’ll look around for some threads on that dipstick. Thanks!

You could always use a drivers side tube....Left Hand Dipstick Tube

Yeah I was considering that as an option too. Just didn’t want to spend the money on it if I could avoid it.

even with bending the tube a bit, it will still rub a bit on the downpipe and wear a hole int he wrap, just buy a drivers side stick and be done, thats what i did

Get a tube and indicator for a 2011+ LML truck.
I bought just the tube for <$20 and cut it down to fit my indicator but now wish I'd kept it full length, easier to check level. All you have to do is move the GP controller.
