So I've got a race coming up with some buddies and I'd like to add some insurance. Currently I have a pretty stock set up with built trans, lift pump, big efi tune and water meth. Head studs are in the process. So I recently picked up some odds and ends for a try nitrous system(10lb bottle, unknown sized dry jets, 2 solenoids and some switches). I know that if I sprayed it now I could still unlock some potential power with stock fuel right? Maybe 600 range? and I've heard that running water meth and nitrous at the same time is frowned upon, not like it would be necessary in that set up anyways. So I've got a deal set up with someone local to buy some 60 over injector nozzles that have never been used for $500. Would it be dumb to think I could throw those in and put a decent sized jet in(maybe .050-.099) and be able to get down the track quicker? or would it just be a smokey mess? Also, I'd want it to be streetable once I'm done at the track, would I pretty much need to swap the nozzles back to my factory ones to achieve that? Not sure how difficult it is to change them out but I don't want a ton of hassle for one day at the track either. What do you guys think???
