A friend wants to buy my Labonte kit but he has an LLY. I noticed there is no selection for LLY in the menu for the mapping on my unit, only LB7, LBZ and LMM. Can a guy just use the LB7 mapping or what?
He would more likely be better off going with the LBZ mapping since it is more similar to the mapping for the LLY than on the LB7. I can only base that on production years though. I am not too sure.
The lbz has a different style of injector control system (no FICM) so I think going off the lb7 would make more sense. Do any of the other Labonte controllers have the selection for lly?
no if you did a little thinking about it you would call and ask if their kit can work on both that would give you an idea. That is what i would do since labonte is no longer in business. Not to mention the fact that if you read Labontes profile and company highlights and low points, they claim that snow performance used to be their biggest customer until they made an order, reverse engineered it and never paid the bill....
Maybe the original Labonte stuff. The Stg 3 I have was developed long after the lawsuit. Snow would be no help for tech support. They would likely be happy to sell a guy a new system though...
My last few dealings with snow 'tech support' they didn't know their own system.
