As close to the intake valve as possible. You want to both cool the charge so you can get more fuel in and have some extra expansion pressure by the water droplets turning to steam. If the droplets are already steam before going in, you loose that effect.
If you do it before the intercooler, the cooler will also be LESS efficient. Seems odd, but efficiency is based on difference between the temp in and out. Heat transfer to the outside air is greater when air going into the cooler is higher. The amount of heat the water/meth take to evaporate is a fixed amount based on the quantity of fluid injected. so blah blah blah, inject as close to the intake as possible.
if you inject a water meth mix before your intercooler it will be more efficient because methanol/water has a thermal conductivity 10 times higher than air right. if you inject water methanal before your intercooler than you would need to cool the mixture down to less than 20 deg. C because of the pressure in the intercooler...I might be wrong though...I can understand not injecting watermeth before the turbo due to impingment and resulting errosion. but the safe way is probably after the intercooler
