Lml fuel mileage korai Willis /deleted/

Ok I'm sure this has been addressed b4 but I can't find the info I'm looking for ...I have a. 13. Chevy 2500 4x4 crew cab leveled on 33/12.5 tires ...truck is tuned by Kori has dpf delete fass strait. Pipe 5" and cold air DID NOT. DELETE EGR. I'm. Averaging. 14 11 when towing. Enclosed 24ft. Trailer empty ...my lb7 did 21 average and 16 -17 towing my camper (bigger ) I'm really not happy truck sit to damn expensive. To drive ...talked to a guy today dyno proven from Roseville ga ...he said this truck was just. As. Capable. As. My lb7 (power. And mileage) but my. Biggest problem was the EGR ...said should have never. Been tuned. And dpf deleted and it left on ..thoughts .... Also said he could delete EGR reflash and dyno tune for $$1400. Don't know if I believe him ..although he has a good reputation locally ...I tried to get some help on fuel mileage from kori and talked via email to his wife I think very nice but said could. Not. Help eluded. To fuel mileage kinda. Being. "It is what it is" thing is that's the only. Reasons I voided my. Warrety. With 10000 miles on the truck ...at. This point. Wish had kept. My 03 sorry about the punctuation damn I pad has a mind of its own...not. A. Dig. One kori ...maybe my. Expectations are. To high maybe this is all the truck is capable. Of

EGR's will not affect the mileage very much if any, but it's been a well known fact the older Dmax's pre LMM's did get better mileage.
LB7 did not have a DPF, so that's really not much of a comparison besides the LB7's HP was not as high as the Dmax's post LMM.

Your complaining about 14 MPG towing a 24' empty enclosed trailer, then you would be really upset if you gots the mileage I get.
13-14 empty, 9.5-10 towing my 32' toy box 13,500 lbs.

I'm running 4" straight exhaust NODPF, my mileage didn't change from functioning EGR to blocked then eventually a complete EGR delete.
My mileage was a little better stock 14-15 empty, but now I do have a heck of a lot more power.

Stock towing with the same trailer was 8-9, so I did gain a little more mpg when towing with all of my mods.
I would ? anyone's knowledge that says it would be better to put all the crap back on.

Diesels will just run better and will last longer without all of that crap.
You might look into doing the PCV re-route if you haven't and either block or delete the EGR, because both will eventually cause problems.
No, you won't get better mileage but your engine will be happier and last longer.

You don't include what HP tunes your running, every tuner has many different levels not just one.
A higher HP tune ( 90 + ) usually nets you a little better mileage, but you risk breaking stuff.

My mileage is a little better on my 60HP TowTune with turbo brake, but I like my 40 TT w TB better (in sig) I use my 40 for a daily driver.

The climate, altitude, city with stop and go traffic, highway all will affect your mileage.
Your 11.5 towing 14 ave empty is a little better than what I get.
The 12.5 wide tires affect your mileage as well.

Cry me a river... I get 8-9MPG (hand calc) towing my 12k lb 5er.

Unless its a ghost trailer I'm questioning the 16-17MPG towing claim on the LB7. Are those hand calculated or DIC? What are the trailer specs and at what speeds?

All you have to do is unplug the EGR on these trucks when running a delete tune. Guy at shop is feeding a bunch of BS and just trying to lighten your wallet IMO.

Finally a honest towing mpg claim.

Do you have a baseline from before the tune?

If you really can get 14.1 mpg pulling a 24ft empty trailer your doing better than 99% of us that tow. and if you were getting 16-17 with a camper, your probably doing better than 99.9% of the rest of us.

Pulling a 14ft cargo trailer I can't consistently get near that mileage with either of my trucks. yes, a flat road, no wind, going 55 I can occasionally get 14, but 12ish is the reality most of the time. with our 35ft travel trailer, well Norcal2500HD pretty well sums it up

FWIW when you add a tune, in the vast majority of cases the DIC reads incredibly optimistic mpg. do a real calculation over a few trips and see what that shows.

Yeah, I'm calling BS on the 16-17 towing a camper. I didn't even do that good hauling a 25 foot camper with my LB7. The BEST I have gotten towing is 12.4 with my 32' camper, and towing a 25' box trailer the best has been 12. As to tuning, I doubt you will ANYBODY better than KORRY WILLIS. MANY will make lavish claims, but few actually deliver. Quit reading your DIC for starters if you are, and check ALL your milage by hand. But it sounds like your milage is pretty dang good for what you're doing.
