You will figure it out pretty quick. I used mine a lot and just kept the CANDi module tucked away and constantly plugged into a second DLC port that I wired in, then just plugged in the Tech2 as needed and for long trips to monitor everything under varying conditions.
In hind sight, I would not leave it plugged in for months as this may have caused pre mature failure of my CANDi module.

Can I enable the rear defroster on my 2005 with Tech2Win only or do I need SPS? I have the camper package with the sliding rear window (No grid) but I added heated mirrors. I added the relay too but pressing the button only lights the button. The relay doesn't energize.

When I bought my truck, it's rear defog wasn't working, and the problem turned out to be the fuse on the "switch" side of the relay (so, not the rear defog fuse). I don't recall the specific fuse, but I found it using the wiring diagrams in the full-service manual. But my truck has factory rear defog.

I think I checked that but I will look again.

I guess I am wondering if the TECH 2 can enable features (set flags in memory) without having to program the module. Maybe that is the only way to enable features?

The fuses are all good. I suspect the BCM isn't programmed to enable the rear defogger.
