Will a DSP5 work in a stock truck?

What will/could happen if you install a DSP5 switch in a factory truck that has not had any tune loaded yet?

I installed the DSP5 switch. I havent installed the tuner file yet. I am wondering if the switch will damage anything if I power it up on the factory computer or if the factory tune will even work?

The answer is yes. I installed the DSP5 and the truck ran fine.

My tuner said I can load the tuning file and drive it to the shop that's doing the head gaskets and turbo.
