Leave it stock while you are learning. Have you read McRat's 20/20 tutorial?

People charge hundreds of dollars for good safe and reliable tunes. I doubt anyone will just be dropping one on you for free.

I also suggest sticking with a stock tune until you learn a bit more about what you are doing. You may be able to find something in a tune library somewhere, but I'd be reluctant to plug any tune into my truck without having some level of confidence that it came from a reliable source. We all usually have too much money in these trucks to blow one up over something dumb, such as a damaged ego, for example...

Ya I get that tunes cost a lot of money but there is got to be someone that doesn't mind helping a fellow duramax guy out even if they had a tune they could sell for a decent price or something that's not hundreds of dollars

It would probably help if we knew what you had as well. I have some tunes I give out for free as I remember being the new guy who didn't know what I was doing until somebody took pitty on me and helped me to understand it. I do it as a hobby now for quite a few different peopel so long as they are understanding it is a hobby and not a full time job(so I'm slow, and I only do a few here and there for fun. If it becomes work, I'll stop doing it for free).

No problems for over a year now, getting 19mpg with a few mechanical changes to and from Sacramento Ca. and a few other towns (1600 miles) at average 80mph highway on the 90hp tune, gotta drive like I like I live there. In town a different story altogether, still lazy and have not installed the DSP5 yet or updated the software on my V2...

Thanks Ferman...
