DSP5 voltage check

Ive got my DSP5 switch installed and was trying to check voltages via the scan software. I am not having any luck. the PID shows as unavailable. Do i need to flash the new tune into the truck to see the voltage changes? I was trying to double check my work before installing tunes as id like to do the full delete at once but cant have the truck down for any real time in the switch is not working. Thanks

Spoke with ATP today and they confirmed that i need to flash the tune before there will be power to the port for the switch. In case anyone else was wondering.
