I would like something 15-20 minutes from work. I will not be allowed to live in SC. I dont want anything big, maybe a few acres, 1500-2000 sq. ft., fireplace, with lots of room to park my toys.

you will not find anything 15-20 min away from the CMPD with a few acres. the city is growing so fast & the trafic is redidulus. your best bet is to visit for a week, then decide.

Ditto on the visit. I live in the country, outside of Monroe. Moved here in 1999. There are a lot of great people here. Just stay out of Charlotte or Monroe city limits unless you speak spanish. As far as property check out www.allentate.com for real estate, (no I don't sell it - just trying to help out).

Yeah... you might need to know some spanish on cmpd... allen tate is a good real estate

Check outl ower Rowan county,quite and close to Charlotte.Taxs and insurance a whole lot cheaper.Plenty of land and new homes and only 20-25 miles North of Charlotte....Good luck..

You can also look at Waxhaw or Indian Trail in NC.
