6.5TD Fuel issue

I just purchased a 95 GMC Sierra and Im having an issue with the truck dieing. I have replaced the fuel filter and the lift pump. What happens is I can bleed the air out of the fuel filter and the lift pump pumps the fuel just fine. I can start the truck and it runs fine for about 45 mins Idling but the minute I give it gas or it idles longer than 45 mins the truck shuts down like it is out of fuel and I have to bleed the Air out of the fuel filter and injectors for the truck to restart. Truck runs great while running.
Has anyone else had this issue or have any suggestions?
