I live in Murfreesboro. It's a very nice community and has a college right there for the kids.

Ha Ha

You are in for a Treat We have been here now 4 years from western Ny. The people for most part are warm and friendly. Then you have the far left Hill....
Anyway there are and you will meet the ones who hate the north and are still fighting the civil war.............. Nashville is awesome Vanderbilt is one of the many area hospitals that are cutting edge facility's in the nation. The small town hospitals are a joke (from our experience's witch is a novel in itself). All the doctors are insured by the same company so if a small town orthopedic surgeon screws your wife's (literally) leg up...then the staff ignores her pain complaints (Compartment Syndrome).....IF by the grace of God she dose not lose her leg You cannot sue for malpractice because all doctors are covered by the Same [email protected]#$% Insurance company, and will not testify against one another. due to be ostracized or burned at the stake........................
Also there are no labor laws here once you turn 50 you are dust In TN. and again nothing you can due legally Another story my wife can tell you all this in a span off 6 months starting with turning 50 and being fired(let-go 50) with no warning just a escort and a kick in the *** after 28 yrs of service ( Thanks Electrolux )
SORRY About the RANT..
Other than that Beautiful country, hills the smell of the tobacco smoke firing in the fall Memphis in the west Nashville in the middle and Knoxville and Chattanooga in the east..... oh the Smokies, Dollywood ..
The housing is over priced by 30 to 50 % unemployment is in the 20 % area. The roads are very narrow.....very narrow and built were the pigs made paths and the Indians and settlers walked. The major city byways and interstate's are ok. Commutes are slow at peak hours (Nashville) as we are north and can only testify to this area. About an extra 20 mins.

Come on Down enjoy the scenery and What else tickles your fancy as long as you stay healthy and do not have to work..............

I've lived here all my life, grew up in the Murfreesboro area, and spent a few years in Bedford County. PM me if you need any help or specific advice.

Dieselholic, where do you live in M'boro?

Murfreesboro is kinda the area we are interested. My wife lived in Hendersonville and loved it a few years back. I need to finish some things here so when we move we have some money in our pocket to survive until I find work. DnHolland I will PM you later. Thanks all...
