MPA 2010 schedule (central Iowa)

The 2010 MPA pulling schedule and ruled are posted on midwestpullers.com. The pulls are all within 70 miles from des moines. Good group of guys and we usually get 10 to 12 diesel trucks at al the pulls. Most run in the street class (2.5 turbo) but there is a 2.8 class along with a 3.2 class. Hope to see some more trucks show this year.

Is that all the classes or do you have a 2.6 class? What are you guys doing as far as tech to check the turbos also? Just wondering since there are a few guys around here that aren't 2.8's but not 2.5's either. Being there is alot more in the 2.5 class would you let them run in that class to atleast compete for the hell of it but they wouldn't get points? Most guys I know don't do it for the money but for competition but sticking them in a class like 2.8 is a big jump.

I have only seen one truck that needs to be in the higher class because it smokes every one and now the motors built to. This is in the mpa im talking about not fantasy or epi or what ever its called. The other truck in the what used to be pro class was nothing special.

Are you talking about Kevin Neagel? He ran in the right classes last year after he put on the avnt 4094. Before that he had a stock turbo.

I should clarify. The 3.2 class is unlimited size for a single turbo. So get your 4.0 setup and we will see you at the pulls. There is no 2.6 class. We made the 2.5 for basically stock trucks. 2.5 allows the dodge guys to add a turbo to be equal with the duramax trucks on turbo size. The next class is a 2.8 class. Than basically an unlimited class. We will be teching all classes for safety and turbo size. I'd say if you have a group of guys with 2.6 ish turbos, come and pull, become a member and then cast your vote for a 2.6 class next year. The diesel rules are up for vote/debate after this year again. Hope to see some of you guys at the pulls.

I was just curious about the modded turbos. I don't have one or concerned about them but kind of wondered what that left them as far as classes to compete in.

Can you explain what you mean by modded turbo? basically if it fits a 2.5 slug with no bushing its in the 2.5 class. If a 2.8 turbo fits the check slug its okay. We are not going to disassemble turbos. If we had haf a dozen 2.6 show up every week. I would see the rules changing to accomadate that. But right now we don't have that. I'd really like to see all the diesel classes grow this year.

I know he ran in the right class but his truck ran damn good im just saying that he was basically pulling in a class by himself. He had the only truck that was'nt closer to others and I want it.
