I was going to come Sat but I have a pull in Brush CO. Remember the guy with the red Scheid truck in Broken Bow? Well he built his wife a "built" Common Rail 2.5" truck , I gotta go see if I can beat her. I guess she put 20' on all the Colorado guys last weekend .

Why you moving to Norfolk? Where are you from? I work up there about 2 days per month. Not a bad town at all. Did you get your tranny done at SJD? I am doing mine this winter and they are one of the places I might have do it. Any thoughts? Thank you.

SJD seemed to have treated me OK. I wasn't satisfyed with paying next day freight to get my turbo on time because their welder broke and they couldn't have it to me on time unless it shipped next day. That wasn't my fault and it was discussed ahead of time what my deadline was. The owner is a very nice guy to talk to though. Tim was nice but seemed too busy for me part of the time . I would probably give them another shot though if the ocassion arose.

Do they actually build their Allison's in the shop or just do a swap with a Suncoast V? I am looking to have someone build my tranny. Would like Mike L to do it, but obviously not driving there. May price shipping the tranny on a pallet though. We'll see. Would like someone somewhat locally to build it if possible. You know of anybody good? I live near Omaha.

I wish I did. There are vendors on here that are good but I haven't dealt with many. I do almost all my own work so I don't deal with many shops. I'd call SJD and ask some questions. Definately avoid Midwest Diesel in MO though.
