Why the pulloff at the smokin the bluegrass?

What was up with that? I don't understand, I thought DHRA didn't do a pulloff unless absolutely necessary. I understand why the did it at IRP in the street class and Mooreland in the open, but heck weren't they like 30' from the sandpile? I have a guess why it happened, but I would like someone to clarify and so I can get this eveil thought out of my head.

Terry Coppess 301/295
George Perterson 304/293.03
Ryan Uptegraft 306/ 293.01

Not sure on the distances but that was top 3.

Was that the green dodge travis? I didnt recognize the name but that doesnt mean anything cause i never watch the pulls. Had a darn good hook though. Ill post the whole video of the pull tonight. That pulloff was BS though. there was another 30ft of track out there.

Your depth perception is off Ryan.330 feet was the sand pile.

I couldn't trust the sled to get them stopped, after the Super Streets pulled. They pulled off, so that set the precedent for the rest.

Trust me, I HATE pull offs. I know what it costs to make back to back runs.

Be prepared for a TIGHT sled at Shelbyville October 1st, and all of next years pulls. 300 feet will mean something again.

Gene, why not adopt a policy like the ntpa for pull-offs? That is the top 3 past 300' or if 3 are past 310' then they are in the pull-off or all past 310' are in the pull-off. I think a street truck should be able to make back to back runs with a little time to cool or adjust.TC's Blue Goose went back to back to back for the win!
