Dyno Day in Marion, IA 5-19-07

Ok, got the dyno lined up and reserved. May 19th, all day, at Arnold Motor Supply on the east side of Marion. We'll be having an open house and specials on diesel performance products (we sell Edge, Bullydog, PPE, AFE, and many other brands, if you want something in particular PM me,) as well as maintenence items such as filters and oil (Wix filters, Amsoil, Rotella, Kendall, Valvoline,) etc. Cost will be $75 for three pulls on the dyno. Numbers might be limited, if you figure half an hour per truck, 20 trucks = a 10 hour day. If you want a gauranteed spot pm me I might have you send a $25 registration fee and give ya a time slot.

I don't have all the details worked out yet. If they talk a lot of rain it will most likely be canceled. It is a Mustang load cell mobile dyno. These guys are new owners of it and the guys have been through the factory training course. We'll have some door prizes, but I'm still kicking the idea around about making a competition out of it somehow, (but I'm not sure how to make it fair - drugs/no drugs, stock vs. highly modified, jackpot, etc.)

Sorry, no burnouts in our parking lot. We just spent a pile of money last fall to overlay the whole thing and I don't want to deface it yet.

And I wouldn't advise too much horsing around on the streets of Marion, the cops are nasty. (Hopefully they don't shut us down for noise.

) Unfortuneately, the company won't allow any adult beverages to be on the premises.

Who's interested? If there's a good turn out maybe we could turn this into a annual event. I'd like to go to our fair grounds and have sled pulls, dyno, show-n-shine, but we'll try this for now.

No burnouts- is that because your heavy dually will not do one even with those punny tires.

We all know my truck don't have enough power to turn the tires over.... remember it's handicapped cuz its a V-8!!!

But seriously... I was shocked when our company decided to spend some moldy money on the overlay so I'd like to keep it nice for a while. That and the landlord probably wouldn't be too thrilled.

you have got to be fisting me, this will be a close one if my trucks togeather, doubtfull though with spring work coming like a marion trailer park resident for a wellfare check

I was gonna ask if you thought you'd have her back together by then. Look at it this way.... at least you've got a deadline/goal to work towards now. And besides the fields are too wet to do anything in yet anyway.

I don't know if I will make it, I would like to though! That is the same day as the test and tune truck pull in Plainfield. Glad you were willing to set it up though.

Plainfield doesn't have the best track anyway. Plus it won't be all day long.... you'll have time to make to both of them
