Took a drive to Tuscon, 105-108 degrees, about 1/2 % grade, empty. Did a bit of acceleration/deceleration, breakin stuff. The fan comes on while I'm going 70+ and just seems like a ridiculous waste.





Just seems to me, and perhaps I am wrong, can a fan actually enhance airflow with 70 mph ram airflow? Wonder if a some high speed switch can be used to inhibit the clutch above 50 mph, seems like a good theory here in 110 degree land.


Also, who knows just what triggers the fan clutch?
