Just thought id post some early impressions of the Stage III Kit...I had it installed on Friday 06/04 by Mike L. - everything went great, I couldnt have asked for more and really got some good education regarding these trucks as a whole and what goes into them. Tranny upgrade is very nice - drove around town on first day and you could tell it was re-learning as Mike gave me the heads up on that but it was hardly noticeable - then got my toy hauler behind it yesterday for some towing and it was great...shifting is very nice, no problem with anything at this point. All in all, very satisfied - i know its only been a couple of days and i will continue to monitor and update as it continues to work in and learn

Glad you like it.. so how long before you hit the track??

Me to, I like my set up. Feels like another gear now when it locks up. Mike L. told me my original converter was something like 85% efficient, where my Suncoast was closer to 97 or 99% (when locked up). Makes a big difference and very noticiable. I didn't see any loss of low end either..

Will there be a mileage improvement thats measurable with the increased efficiency?

Does the shift time improve greatly? Another words, does it get rid of the defuel shift? When the stock trans shifts it takes probably about two seconds or better from the time the shift starts to the time your at full power again.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Cry.gif
