Well I am going to change my first spin on tonight and while I am at it I am going to drain the pan and refill it with transend. How many quarts will it take to fill the pan back up?

Most people say 7.75 quarts on shallow pan, 10.75 quarts on the deep pan. You can do also do a search for this. Lots of info. on this. Also, refill the spin on with Transyd, or whatever you are refilling with.

How do I know which pan I have? I guess that means I need to get an another gallon of transynd since I only bought 2. That crap might as well be liquid gold at $35 a gallon w/tax.

The deep pan measures a little over 4 inches from top to bottom. I just measured mine off the truck, to be installed. The shallow pan is, I believe, somewhere around 2, 2 3/4, around there. If you bought the truck new, then you have the shallow pan. Hope this helps...

Unless you installed the deep pan, you will have the shallow pan. I just changed my fluid but didn't drop the pan, just drained it and I also just installed a Mike L cooler and it took almost 2 gal to replenish. I will do this again in 5000 mi and that should give me about 95% transyn in the system. I got that info from Mike L who is a trans guru.
