Does anyone have (or know about for sure) BFGoodrich Commercial T/A LT265/75r16 E1B tires? Any good? Actual max load?
Thinking of putting them on a 2500HD.
Thanks.

I just put the commercial traction t/a's 235/85/16 load D on my dually so far I like them a little noisy but thats ok. I have also noticed a little more sidewall flex over the factory goodyears.

Looks like not many people are using these --

I have 245's on my truck and have had great luck with them so far.
These trucks must have the 10 ply "E" load tires on them.
I will purchase the same set of tires for my truck in a heart beat.

I have the traction 235/85/16 and love them. I havent noticed any degree of sidewall flex yet, but I only pull a 6K (dry) gooseneck horse trailer. With three in the stalls, I am pulling little over 10K.

I have also put almos 10K on them and havent noticed significant wear. Actually I am impressed with the wear.

there are a few that run em over at letstalksnow.com

They seem fairly well liked and I considered em but I wanted to stick with a USA tire :)

BFGoodrich tires are made here in the U.S.

As far as max load, you will have to get a Load and Inflation table for that tire and see what the max is. I am guessing that if it is a 265/75R16 LRE, then it should be about 3400lbs/tire @80 psi.

By the way, with a Radial tire, you want it to flex a little with whatever load is on it. If it doesn't flex, it can't get the contact patch it needs to the ground to give good traction. The only way to know if it is correct is to check the air pressure and compare to manufactures load tables. You need to Weigh your truck and the heaviest thing it will pull. Set the air based on the load, and don't worry about the sidewall flex, that will take care of itself. You really should also weigh it empty, and air accordingly, so you are not grossly overinflated for no reason when you are driving empty. Over-inflation, is also an unsafe condition.

It is 3415 @80psi.

I run the 235/85/16 com.. t/a's and have to say they are great. I like them way over the winners that was on my truck.
I need no spacer on the rears the inner and outer do not rub with my 5er hooked up.
super tires if you want long life! I had heard from several before getting mine that they had 20K plus and showed hardly any wear..

I bought 4 of these -265/75r16 ,3415 lbs- for a great price. Don't see how I can go wrong -- but I'll be sure to say so if there're any problems.

Did puting the aluminum rims on the rear help with spacing? Mine rub when loaded but are fine when unloaded. If so I now have a reason to buy some aluminum rims.

It may be the aluminum wheels, I never had these tires on these wheels before.
it had some winston winners on the steel wheels which I trashed with the steel wheels. (all but the 2 inner rears of course).

About 1500 miles on the tires. Quiet, and solid feel. Good tires.

We run them studded in the winter. Good tires. 245's on stock alum wheels.
