That's what I've heard, never done it.
pm turbindoc, or one of the others who list it in their signature.

TD here mine is still on, I just don't have it plumbed up to anything conection plugged in standby, I have to be able to swap back to stock mode if I need dealer/warranty service, I catch flack about my IC but have been able to fight that but if it looks "highly modded" ie no vac pump my ext. warranty co. tries to negate my claims regardless of which system is effected, almost had my tranny rebuild voided because of the HP module under the hood, my FSD cooler as was clearly painted on the side of it. Long story uphill battle but I finally won out.
Vac pump can be removed from what I've read never done it though myself.

If you ever intend to install an exhaust brake you will need the vacuum pump. In the mean time it does not eat that much.

I pulled the pump they have siezed up and when they do your belt burns up and tada........you have no power brakes or steering and when your pulling 5,000 trailer and not power and temps going up it's not a good thing. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Dead.gif A 1993 belt worked on mine.

I am going to remove mine as soon as the turbomaster gets here.
I have/had an egr system on mine but just figured out how to keep it from turning on the SES without vacuum.

So how do you do that? Inquiring minds want to know!

It is just the same as the boost fooler circuit but on the map sensor on the firewall. I put a pot on it for testing but will be putting fixed resistors on it instead.

I have the EGR and did NOTHING and no codes. Bill Heath said if I remember right that as long as you leave the EGR hooked up no codes. Now I don't know why but so far so good.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Approve.gif

But this means you still have the vacuum pump running, correct?
I thought 1/2 the goal was removing the pump and having one less thing to seize.
