Thanks for posting that the previews are out...that is a decent looking truck. I might have to hold out for one. One of the things that caught my attention though was how high the fender bulges go up. There is barely any room between the hood and the top of the bulge. Looks a bit odd....

But I think overall the front end looks very tough. Interior looks good and I really like the blue lighting in the dash.

Not sure what pics you guys are finding. All I see are the half ton trucks and they say GM is finally getting their act together and making the 3/4 ton a bigger, completely different truck than the half ton. I guess we shall see. I sure hate that you can never tell the inside of a suburban from a 3/4 diesel interior.

Whoever "they" are, they're mistaken.

All available photos of the new GMT900 HDs have been posted for nearly a month in the "New Vehicle Information" topic. ref.: http://dieselplace.com/forum/showthread.php?t=93543&page=3

There were several HDs in the background of the official photos taken at the GMT900 intro in early August.

The GMT900 HD grilles, front bumpers & bumper covers are slightly different to accomodate a 51mm body lift. It also appears that the Chevy HD has a slightly taller hood bulge. Otherwise, the new GMT900 HDs look exactly like the GMT900 1500s, including having identical interiors.

Right you are. I can't say that I see the logic in making a 3/4 ton the same size as a half ton (other than saving money), but until I sit in the half ton I will reserve judgement. Personally, if I pay for a bigger truck...I actually want it to be bigger..not just a half ton body lifted to cover a 3/4 ton chassis.

Only the upper trim level pickups (LTZ, SLT & Denali) get the same dash as the SUVs. All the lower trim levels get a different dash that doesn't require a console, as well as different door panels.

GMCJOE do you see how low these trucks sit, even the 4x4s (Z71) are too low. You'd have to put a 12 inch lift on them just to make them look like a real four wheel drive.

However, I do like the new suspension of the 07. No more torsion bars. It will be a-arms and coil-overs.

Jason,

When choosing a truck I dont usually buy it based on "how high" it sits.
I had a 98 silverado before 2wd before and it sat lower than these trucks.

I loved that truck too!
I sold it for a new Duramax Diesel.
ANyways,
I plan on lifting the new 2007 with a 9-11 CST lift anyways, so I guess "stock" height really isnt an issue for me.

I had my 98 lifted 10 inches and it was Awesome!
