Can someone tell me where to find those pictures of failed injectors? I have been searching for hours and cannot locate. I am considering adding Microlon treatment http://www.microlon.com/index.php to my fuel and oil. I have had awesome results with this product in the past but am hesitant to add to my D/A, especially to the fuel. The product is a PTFE additive which treats metal and significantly reduces friction. I looked at the kit I ordered ($675) and the product has sediment in the bottom so I haven't purchased it yet. No sense adding to the fuel if it doesn't get past the filter. On the other hand if it hardened and reduced friction in the injectors and other fuel components (pressure reg) it may reduce problems down the road.

sediment is teflon(PTFE) save your money, use stanadyne or any of the other fuel lubricants or biodiesel. teflon will more than likely clog filters(2 micron). have tried slick50 and other products have never ever seen results, most people change driving style, thinking about that product. check out bodysurfer's posts he has done some product test.

Thanks for the reply. I talked to one of Microlon's tech types today in Texas. He stated the biggest particles in the treatment are 5 microns so the majority of the fuel portion of the treatment would get filtered out. I could use an older filter (5 micron I believe) or source a 10 micron to run for the tank of fuel that I treat. That is if I choose to do this. I am sending the tech some info pasted from a couple of TDP posts. I have seen this product reduce wear in previous engines that were dear to me and my Duramax is the next candidate. I keep my trucks for 10 years and run up lots of miles (2-300,000) It would be so nice to never have any more major repairs as the injectors are fresh at 60,000 miles. Would welcome any more feedback...
