Hello All,

I need some help if anyone can assist me. I have a 2004 3500 Crew Cab with the LLY Duramax. In the last 2 weeks, I have experienced a Fluttering of RPM's up and down by 100 RPM's only in the morning when the Temp is between 180 - 190, after the temp's clear 190 the fluttering tapers off and finally goes away. It only does this when it is in Drive and your stopped at a redlight or stop sign, if you put it in park, the fluttering goes away and diesel run smooth again. I took it into the dealers and they ran diagnostics and found no proplems, they even looked for software upgrades and it needed none and of course they couldnt reproduce the problem. So is there anyone else that experienced this problem?? If so I would greatly appreciate some advice.

Thanks

Dave

Almost sounds like a fuel pressure regulator problem.

I'm experiencing the very same problem with my LLY. Only in gear, when stopped and infrequently. My dealer tightened a ground wire to the block and thought it might be the problem because it cured an LB7 that had similar symptoms. Nope.

I've been noticing the same thing on my truck latlely. Only in drive when stopped at a light, mine flutters by 100 rpm or so. But mine to only does very rarely/intermitently. I haven't noticed it within the last week but i'm keeping an eye on it. Is it possible a clogged fuel filter would cause the truck to do that? I've only got about 7500 miles on my truck now. But I hve not changed the fuel filter yet.

Any updates about this problem? My truck is going in Wednesday to have another look at the problem. Unfortunately it is so seldom they probably won't be able to duplicate it.
