Hey Guys,

As many of you are aware, there is a vibration on the highway between 2000 and 2200RPM on many of the trucks prior to the '04.5. This is corrected as noted in a TSB by replacing the upper power steering line with one that has a weight attached to it.

Anyhow, I took my truck in today and had mine replaced. I took it straight out to the highway and verified that the vibration was gone. I was having a GREAT day!!! Until I went to Lowe's to get some lumber. I ended up leaving the store without my merchandise after realizing the all of my power steering fluid had run out of the truck because it wasn't reassembled properly. *sigh*

So, I now have no power steering, no power brakes, no fluid -- and no more vibration!!!!!! And my truck is spending the weeknd at the Dealer. *sigh again* I was, however, impressed when I called the assistant service manager at home and he agreed to have a tech come in to the shop tomorrow on his day off to fix the problem.

Just had to vent a bit... :o)

Dstnkn,

Any idea what the TSB # is? My truck is out of warranty with 'too much mileage' but a dealer is going to reflash the intermittant slow fuel gauge. Since I'm going to take it to a dealer for the first time I may as well check on the vibration issue.

Of course, I don't notice any vibration. Still would like to see what parts they are changing.

I'm not sure what the TSB number is, however, it is in the steering category. I think I saw a post where hoot had mentioned it. He may know the number.

The TSB # is 19-008-03. It involves replacing a power steering hose with another one that has a weight attached to it. It just holds down the vibration in the hose. You can ck and if the hose running from your pump to your hydroboost has a half donut piece of metal on it, you have what the TSB calls for.
